We are looking for a customer-focused and highly organized Payments Onboarding Specialist to lead the end-to-end onboarding of merchants and partners to our client's innovative payments platform. This role is vital to ensuring a seamless and efficient onboarding experience, from technical setup to go-live. You will work cross-functionally with compliance, product, and engineering teams, ensuring all requirements are met and any roadblocks are resolved promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for merchants and partners during the onboarding process.
- Guide partners through documentation, technical setup, compliance checks, and integration phases.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure onboarding is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide training and support to partners on using the payment platform’s features and functionalities.
- Monitor onboarding progress, maintain accurate records, and report on key metrics and timelines.
- Identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement in the onboarding process and contribute to optimization initiatives.
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including KYC and AML protocols.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in payments, fintech, merchant onboarding, or customer success roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with payment systems, gateways, and compliance requirements is preferred.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work autonomously in a start-up setting.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and project management platforms is a plus.
