About the Role

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to establish and lead a central DevOps function, supporting multiple platform teams and enabling scalability, resilience, and operational excellence across our ecosystem spanning iGaming, Sportsbook, Payments, and Data & AI.

This is a rare opportunity to build DevOps from the ground up in a multi-product environment, working with the latest cloud technologies, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC). The role will evolve as we scale, offering significant growth opportunities within the company. Reporting to the Head of TechOps, the successful candidate will be a key player in shaping the technology backbone of our portfolio platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and operate a core DevOps function that collaborates with platform dev elopement teams.
• Define best practices, governance, and automation strategies across multiple products.
• Collaborate with our external partners in architecting and managing AWS-based cloud infrastructure with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security.
• Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that integrate AWS with on-premise elements, and other cloud vendors.
• Leverage Kubernetes setups to the full across security, auto-scaling and efficient node provisioning.
• Ensure high-availability, multi-region failover and disaster recovery strategies are in place.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Gitlab Running or Jenkins.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Implement GitOps best practices using tools like ArgoCD.
• Upgrade and manage logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, DataDog, Coralogix and OpsGenie.
• Implement site reliability engineering (SRE) practices to ensure 99.99% uptime across critical services.
• Work with teams to implement cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, WAF, etc.).
• Optimise cloud and infrastructure costs, improving efficiency while maintaining performance.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of DevOps experience in high-traffic, real-time environments.
• iGaming industry experience is a must, preferably including Sportsbook platform hosting and operations.
• Expertise in AWS (EKS, MSK, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, Terragrunt.
• Deep knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm, etc.).
• Proven experience building scalable CI/CD pipelines with automation tools.
• Strong background in observability, logging, and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, DataDog, Coralogix).
• Security-first mindset with experience around KeyVaults, Secrets, IAM, and cloud security.
